While I have never claimed an extensive background in science, I specialize in management and utilize those skills to keep our office at Abalone Coast on track and running smoothly. I have learned a lot about water quality in the 15 years I have worked here, and I’ve also learned a lot about people and how to successfully run a small business.
Family is the main focus of my life, so it’s especially enjoyable to work for a family run business. I have had the pleasure of bringing my sons to work with me over the years, and then transitioned to working from home remotely 5 years ago. I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate at the young age of 19, and 18 years later, my husband John and I are just as connected as ever and have three children who mean the world to us. Our oldest, Riiyah, is almost 19 years old and about to start his first job, Zachary is 12 years old and enjoying being homeschooled, and Griffin is 5 and loving being the baby of the family. As my family has grown, so has our business, creating the need to expand our work family. I love my coworkers and enjoy being part of a team.
I love working in an environment that fosters such strong bonds of family and community, which is important in the water quality world and in my own world. Abalone Coast specializes in the customer experience, and each and every employee who works here cares about the environment and how it affects our local community, which I find extremely fulfilling. I have always had a love for working with and helping people, and I strive to make our business even more successful by treating our clients like family.
