In Memorium

Hi, my name is Snoop.

I am a distinguished and well-traveled kitty cat. I am originally from Lower Lake, California where I roamed the cool streets and got to smell the leaves in the Fall.I really liked it there and got to spend time with my best buddy, Brent who always loved me and gave me pats. Eventually, my family moved to Chowchilla in the sweltering Central Valley and then wouldn’t let me inside so I nearly melted away. Plus, my buddy Brent had moved away and I missed him a lot. One of the times he came to visit, I asked him if I could come live with him and he said “yes”!! He decided to bring me to his work where I could explore and get loved on by lots of people every day!!

At first all the people and the crazy stuff they did made me hide, wondering why I had asked to go with Brent, but then I discovered the yummy food and friendly people and decided things were OK. So now I climb on shelves, play in boxes and help out at the sample receiving counter where I greet the clients and offer them pens. My favorite thing is the concrete floor because I can run really fast and go skittering all over the place.

My biggest job is keeping Amanda’s chair warm and most of the day I am in it sitting right behind her feeling all important and content. I like everyone, but sometimes have to tell Zoe, Kristie’s Golden Retriever to remember that the office is Mine…MINE! In my spare time, I eat spider plants and meow at the laboratory door, hoping someone will let me go in there. I feel strongly that my purpose in life is to sleep as much as possible and look dreamily at anyone who will pay attention to me.
